LANGUI Systems is a 30+ year IT software development company based in Winnipeg for that entire period. We are focused on building and supporting web applications and scalable high quality software solutions. We are expanding our development team and are looking for two recent Computer Science or Community College equivalent who are eager to grow their skills, work with Java and web development and explore opportunities in artificial intelligence.
As a Junior Software Developer, you will work closely with experienced developers to design, develop, and maintain web and AIapplications. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate who wants hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to AI-driven projects.
- Develop, test and maintain web applications using Java
- Collaborate with senior developers on new features and system improvements
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions
- contribute to projects involving AI, machine learning and data-driven solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering or a related program, RRCC Business Information Technology.
- Working knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and basic software design principles
- Demonstrated interest in AI or machine learning (coursework, projects, hackathons, or self-learning)
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems is an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to be bondable
- Due to security requirements this position is limited to candidates who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents
